We ate here on a whim and LOVED the food! Saw there was a line out the door and figured it has to be good. Well no wonder! We had the Spicy Santa Barbara Cajun Shrimp Pasta and their California Cheese Steak Sandwich.. chef's kiss. Both were amazingly delicious!! 10 out of 10. We will definitely be coming back to eat here next time we visit. The owner was very gracious when we complimented the food. Thank you for a wonderful meal!

You know how sometimes you just really fancy a really good salad..... That was me today, I needed crunch, I needed protein, and I found it here!! I had the crunchy chicken salad and every bite was delicious... Lots of elements to it, an domenty of chicken and real bacon. The dressing was really flavorful and the garlic bread had a tiny spicy kick that really worked. My dining companion had the chicken club, which, as you can see was huge, and also delicious! Great service and you can tell they really care about the diners! Definitely recommend and really want to try more of their menu!

Tasty food at reasonable prices served by super friendly people - a winning combination! We were shopping in the area and decided to eat here based on the ratings. It has a small indoor dining area but is heavily focused on outdoor seating. We ordered and paid at the counter and they brought our food out to us once seated. From the order to the food delivery, everyone we encountered was very pleasant and helpful. The food was freshly prepared, had good portion sizes and tasted great. Everyone commented on how good it was. I had the ham torta and it was delicious. Nice combo of ingredients, excellent bread and just a hint of heat.

I am a DoorDash/Ocus Photographer, so I not only do food photos I also get to sample a lot of the food dishes. California Pasta is one of the nicest restaurants I have covered. Great location right off State st in Santa Barbara with convenient parking in the lower garage entering from Chapala St. Indoor or outdoor seating and a very clean restaurant. Cooks and servers were all very nice and efficient. Food is amazing with many choices including a kids menu. Prices are competitive, but portions were large, so an overall good value. The next time you're in the Santa Barbara area do yourself a favor and try California Pasta, you'll thank me!

California Pasta and Sub is precisely the kind of place that fits the bill. One of the advantages is the counter-order setup, which makes dining here relaxed and allows you to enjoy a great meal without feeling pressured about tipping. And despite its casual approach, the quality of the food pleasantly surprises. The Totelli Bruschetta stood out with its rich garlic-infused cream that elevated the flavor beautifully. The homemade lasagna impressed with deep, comforting flavors from the house-made sauce, showcasing real care in preparation. The perfectly cooked salmon salad paired with its dressing created a fresh and harmonious bite, while the Alfredo Chicken Pasta delivered a luxurious creaminess without feeling overly heavy. Even the Pesto Chicken Sandwich was a winner—fresh vegetables complemented by a delicately flavored Pesto sauce made it both light and delicious.
